The drawing depicts a statue of a camillus brought in from the Palazzo dei Conservatori in 1816. The statue was replaced in 1838 by a seated figure of a man, Marcellus, brought in from the Vatican and still in situ.
The drawing was glued on a cardboard, originally numbered 5M.34, and kept in a portfolio. Title from note on the original cardboard. Forms part of: Library Collection. Drawings.
