The drawing depicts the Sala del Fauno in the Capitoline Museum, Rome. The most important piece in the room is the Faun in rosso antico marble, found probably at Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli in 1736.
The drawing was glued on a cardboard, originally numbered 5M.29, and kept in a portfolio. Title from note on the original cardboard. Forms part of: Library Collection. Drawings.
