This view of the crumbling arcades of the Colosseum shows clearly the ample growth of weeds accumulated since 1812 when the monument was cleared by the French authorities.
The drawing was glued on a cardboard, originally numbered 3.14, and kept in a portfolio. Title from note on the original cardboard. Forms part of: Library Collection. Drawings.
